June 6, 2016 –  A new study is in the works that’s all about making Interstate 64 safer. It is a partnership between planners in the Shenandoah Valley and in central Virginia.

The goal is to reduce traffic, congestion’s and crashes on Interstate 64 between Charlottesville and the valley. The area being examined starts at Exit 124 in Albemarle County near Pantops Mountain, and will span 40 miles west of this spot, all the way over Afton Mountain and to the interchange with Interstate 81 in Staunton…
