  • The regularly scheduled MPO Technical Committee meeting date (for Jul19) conflicts with the VA APA Conference. Staff proposes changing the MPO Tech Committee meeting date to Jul26 at 1:00pm. and scheduling a joint meeting session with the Rural Technical Committee.

5 10:30-10:40  SMART SCALE Project Update – Sandy Shackelford/Ryan Mickles, CA-MPO

  • Round 5. MPO staff submitted eight SMART SCALE pre-applications on Apr1; staff is preparing for final application submittals due Aug1.  Project buffer maps are provided for Charlottesville and Albemarle to aide in identifying the commercial site plans that MPO staff will need for completing the Economic Development
    Sites of VDOT SMART SCALE final application.

  • Two resolutions of support are included in your meeting packet. The first resolution is a for support of four MPO project application submissions; the second resolution is for support of four local project application submissions. Staff requests a recommendation of approval from MPO Tech prior to consideration of the resolutions of support by the MPO Policy Board at their May 25 meeting.
